My grandfather’s garage storage solutions
My grandfather loves assembling automobiles. He can make a good one from junk autos. He’s the one that I look for if I have mechanical problems with my car. He can fix any car related problems fast. However, I do not like his garage personally. It is full of clutter and misplaced things! I wonder how he manages to work in such environment?
So I talked to him once and told him to clean his garage clutter. He told me that he has no time for it. So I decided to find the right garage storage solutions for him. I went to a nearby home shop as well as the lumber yard to find the best storage solutions. For his frequently used garden tools, I bought him a rack where he can hang his shovel, rake and other tools easily. He can also get them easily. For the storage of spare parts in the garage, I bought him the wall cabinets that will save him many floor spaces. He can place the unused things in the upper cabinet and other things labeled with “keep out of children’s reach”. The free standing cabinet I bought is for his heavy things. I also bought racks for his bikes so he can hang it on the walls if not in use.
After weeks of installing those storage solutions, a more spacious and nice looking garage is more noticeable and I can see in his eyes that he is happy with the results.
